Having issues keeping rail pressure over 3000 RPM in your Duramax in the mid 500 horsepower range, the Sportsman pump from Exergy is engineered to deliver well past the stock CP3 at higher RPMs. In high fuel demand situations, stock CP3s have a hard time delivering the fuel you need past 3,000 RPM. That is not the case for the Sportsman pump, an ideal upgrade for anyone who wants to keep their truck around the mid 500hp mark, or the person who needs to replace their stock pump with the capabilities to support higher horsepower demands. This pump starts as an LBZ-based pump and then is modified and bench-tested for proper performance by one of the most reputable companies in fuel injection.

Notes: 

• The Sportsman CP3 pumps intended for LB7 engines are a LBZ based pump with a LB7 fuel pressure regulator for ease of tuning. Please note, these should only be used on LB7 applications.
• Though a lift pump is not required, to achieve maximum pump performance a fuel supply of 150 GPH @ 8-10 psi per pump is recommended.
